A 1-year project in Abuja, Lagos, Plateau, Gombe and Oyo States with funding from Disability Rights Fund (DRF/DRAF) which aims at promoting the institutionalization of disability inclusion through advocating for the adoption of the Local Government Disability Framework by Local Governments in the country. It also seeks to advocate that LGAs with technical support from Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) will institute this disability inclusive legal frameworks to enable meaningful participation of Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) especially women and Girls with disabilities in benefiting from, and contributing to their local development. Also, PWDs living in selected pilot LGAs have equal opportunities to access basic services like primary health, education, economic empowerment and justice systems in their local communities.

World Connect Project

This project titled, “Empowering Creativity for Change” was awarded by World Connect. The aim of our “Empowering Creativity for Change” project is to equip 50 women and youths with disabilities, aged 18 to 40, with valuable skills in creative design, specifically focusing on the thriving T-shirt and branding industries. Our primary goal is to nurture a new generation of entrepreneurs within the Ikorodu Local Government Area who can leverage creative design and technology to succeed in today's competitive market.In line with our commitment to gender inclusivity, we are particularly keen on ensuring that 60% of the beneficiaries are women with disabilities. We believe that by providing them with the necessary skills and resources, we can contribute to their economic empowerment and foster positive change within the community. Trinity House, Ikorodu Parish Lagos is our partner for the implementation of this initiative.

Advancing Rights of Women with Disabilities in Ebonyi ARWE

An 18-month project with funding from Disability Rights Fund(DRF/DRAF) which aims to advance the rights of Women with Disabilities in Ebonyi State (ARWE); through strategic engagements and advocacies for legislative change i.e the enactment of the Ebonyi State Disability Bill, strengthening of the newly amended VAPP law with Guidelines for the inclusion of Women With Disabilities (WWDs), Strengthening the capacity of WWDs as rights advocates and to ensure social inclusiveness and sustainability of the project with effective engagements with mainstream gender based stakeholders.

Strengthening Community Engagement for Deepening Sexuality Education for Women and Girls with Disabilities in Lagos state

The project sought to promote the incorporation of inclusive sexuality education for women and girls with disabilities into the Local Government Disability Framework; addressing harmful socio-cultural norms limiting healthy experiences of sexuality and expression of sexual rights of WGWDs in Lagos state with support from Disability Rights Fund(DRF/DRAF).

Improving Sexuality Education for the Empowerment of Women and Girls with Disabilities in Lagos State

Changing the Dialogue project

Entrepreneurship Development and Business Start-up project

The project equipped a hundred women with disabilities in Delta state with entrepreneurial knowledge and skills and provided seed funding for twenty of such beneficiaries to start or strengthen existing businesses with support from US Department of State.

Annual InspireLife project for girls with disabilities

This project provided life skills training for girls with disabilities and culminates with a girl’s camp in December of every year.

COVID19 Response Project; Mental Health and Psychosocial Support for girls with disabilities

Sensitizations on Domestic Violence, Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH)
